Jack Slater

Jack Slater is a writer and performer of poetry, plays, songs and stories

Jack's poetry touches various styles and themes but is always both personal and universal 

His songs are in what could be called a contemporary English acoustic folk style.  He performs both solo and as part of Powsowdie, singing and playing bouzouki and guitar

Jack has been an actor for several years, with stage roles ranging from medieval bad guy to pantomime dame, covering most things in between.  He has also worked in television and taken featured roles in a couple of short films.  Jack Slater is proud to be a member of Equity

He also writes for the stage and a number of his plays have now enjoyed successful productions, with one also being adapted for and broadcast on local radio.  Details of Jack's plays - which are all available for production - can be obtained from Powsowdie Arts
